Manual Handling & VDU Safe Practice

 
Aims:

On completion of this training course delegates will understand the hazards and risks associated with manual handling activities, the measures to reduce those risks and the application of good posture and efficient movement principles in a range of scenarios. In addition they will have a thorough understanding of the health and safety issues surrounding display screen equipment use, appreciate the early warning signals that may indicate the onset of RSI / (Work Related Upper Limb Disorder), appreciate health surveillance strategies and preventative exercises to support their activities and be able to carry out their own DSE risk assessments.
